Wordle Answer Today’s (April 26, 2022) — Word of the Day #311

Fresh answers to Wordle (Word of the Day) — is something we are constantly working on. We start our morning with Wordle before we even have a cup of coffee to be as relevant to you as possible!

You don’t know what it’s about yet? Wordle is a web-based word game created and developed by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle, and owned and published by The New York Times Company since 2022. Players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word, with feedback given for each guess in the form of colored tiles indicating when letters match or occupy the correct position. The mechanics are nearly identical to the 1955 pen-and-paper game Jotto and the television game show franchise Lingo.

If you explain in more detail, then Wordle has a very simple concept: to guess the five-letter word in six guesses or less. There are no initial clues as to what the word could be and can be any word in the American English language. This may make it sound like an impossible game, but once you have made your first guess, the tiles containing the letters will change into one of three colours.

Green lets you know that the letter is in the word and has been placed in the correct position. Yellow means that the letter is in the word somewhere, just not where you have currently placed it. If the letter does not appear in the word at all, the tile will change grey, which means you want to refrain from using this letter in subsequent guesses where possible.

What is the Wordle 311 Answer Today? (April 26th, 2022)

Here is how I managed to solve the Wordle 311 word in five guesses today. First I guessed the word ‘AUDIO’, which only showed me that there is an I in the word, but it has not been correctly place. I then guessed the word ‘SIREN’ as I wanted to pick a word that places the I in a different position and has an E in it.

This was a great guess as it showed me that there is am S and E in the word as well. I then decided to guess the word ‘PLIES’ to see if I could place the I or S. The I was placed correctly but not the S and no knew letters were revealed either.

The next word I guessed was ‘WHITE’ which was a great guess as it showed me that there is a T and H in the word. This means that I now know all of the letters in the word, it was just a matter of rearranging them to make a word. It took me a while, but I did manage to solve the answer to Wordle 311. which is…

HEIST!
