Vivo introduced another iQOO Neo7 – this time with a Dimensity 8200 chip

Vivo’s iQOO Neo7 family of gaming smartphones already has three Chinese models, and now it has expanded with a fourth, Indian version, almost identical to the iQOO Neo7 SE, which premiered in the Celestial Empire back in December last year.

The new iQOO Neo7 features a large 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 5000mAh battery that supports fast charging technology. The new version is built on the 4nm Dimensity 8200 mobile platform, which includes four Cortex-A78 cores (one capable of operating at up to 3.1 GHz, and three more at 3.0 GHz), four Cortex-A55 cores of 2.0 GHz, as well as Mali-G610 MC6 graphics. For cooling, the smartphone received a large evaporation chamber and numerous layers of graphite plates.
The same smartphone for the Chinese market had a Dimensity 9000+ chipset, Neo7 Racing Edition had a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and Neo7 SE also had a Dimensity 8200. The Neo7 smartphone is available with 8 and 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and the Android 13 operating system in the FuntouchOS 13 shell (the manufacturer promises an upgrade to Android 15).

The 6.78-inch AMOLED display received a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels and a screen ratio of 20:9. A refresh rate of 120Hz is supported, although you can select 60Hz or 90Hz for content viewing and 30Hz for Always On Display. Users can set the maximum brightness manually up to 500 cd/m2and the peak value reaches 1000 cd/m2. The display is HDR10+ compatible.
Normally, the screen sampling rate is 300 Hz, but there is also a special game mode – up to 1200 Hz. Also in the Ultra Game Mode, you can set up to six specific actions based on motion recognition using a gyroscope and an accelerometer. In particular, this functionality is supported by the game New State and in the future, support will be provided in other games, including Call of Duty Mobile. In addition, some games provide frame rates up to 90 FPS.
Charging FlashCharge supports a power of 120 W, from 1 to 50% the smartphone is charged in 10 minutes, up to 100% in 25 minutes. For comparison, in the Neo6 model, an 80W charge provided speeds of 12 and 32 minutes, respectively. In addition, last year’s model had a battery capacity of 300 mAh less. There are two charging modes: fast, which does not heat up the battery, and super-fast, which allows you to charge at full speed. It is assumed that before the capacity drops to 80%, the battery will withstand 1000 recharge cycles.
The Neo7 camera received a 64-megapixel 1/1.97-inch ISOCELL GW3 sensor based on ISOCELL 2.0 technology. This generation of iQOO lacks the ultra-wide-angle camera and only has the main module, macro module and depth sensor.
Available options iQOO Neo7 blue and black colors. The base model with 8/128 GB of RAM/ROM costs $360, the variant with 12/256 GB costs $410.
