• Jan Oblak has been relegated by two points and lost his lead in the top goalkeepers. The best FIFA 23 keeper is Thibaut Courtois (90), who is remembered for his strong performance in the Champions League. Manuel Neuer shares the first line with him.
• Wojciech Schensny was downgraded and lost his place in the top 10 (from 9th to 14th). His place was taken by Mike Meignan, who brilliantly replaced Gianluigi Donnarumma at AC Milan. David De Gea, Édouard Mendy (both +3) and Kevin Trapp (+4) scored important rating upgrades. Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale holds the gold card record (+8).
• Two Brazilian goalkeepers have made it into the top four: Liverpool’s Alisson and Man City’s Ederson. An even more surprising fact: PSG have two top 10 goalkeepers at once: Donnarumma and Navas. Last year, the Costa Rican often played in Ligue 1, so he avoided relegation and remained on the list.
• Consider goalie stats.
The best reflexes are Courtois, Ter Stegen and Sommer (90 each). Manu Neuer is the king of positioning (91) and Donnarumma is the best diver (90). Handling is Jan Oblak’s forte (90), Ederson passes better than Neuer — 93 to 91.
The fastest golden goalkeeper was Mainz’s Robin Zentner (65), but a real sprinter lurked in the special cards. Mexican Jorge Campos with a height of 170 cm received a speed of 84 and runs better than many field players.
• Len Yashin (94) leads a narrow selection of five idol goalkeepers. In the list of brightly announced new heroes from Marvel, there are no keepers at all.
• The tallest goalkeeper in FIFA 23 is Carlisle United’s Tomas Goly. The Czech’s height was 206 cm. Among the low keepers, no one overtook the 170-meter Mexican Campos.
Do short goalkeepers get gold cards at all? Alas, there are only a few. Jean-Louis Leca of Lens and Edgar Badia of Elche are 180 cm tall and rated 75 and 80. Among the top goalkeepers, Jan Sommer (183 cm, 85) and Keylor Navas (185 cm, 88) stand out.
• In FIFA drag goalkeepers with high growth and good reflexes. Newcastle’s Nick Pope, West Ham’s Alphonse Areola and Nantes’ Alban Lafont will be popular among cheap cards.
