Last year, Samsung released an exclusive version of the Galaxy S22 Ultra Mercedes Benz, this year the company partnered with another German automaker, BMW, resulting in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra BMW M Edition. The exclusive version will only be released in South Korea with a run of only 1,000 units.
Local residents can pre-order until February 13 for 1,727,000 KRW ($1,370) for a 12GB/512GB device. For comparison, a regular S23 Ultra in the same configuration costs 1,600,400 KRW ($1,270) before pre-order discounts.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra BMW M Edition is inspired by the BMW M3 E30, especially the first generation. The exclusive package includes BMW memorabilia, including a themed case, a key ring with six interchangeable BMW emblems from six different eras, a BMW 50th Anniversary medallion and a metal «We Are M» logo, an emotional slogan, announced on the 50th anniversary of the automaker.
But that’s not all: the buyer will receive a BMW-branded battery-powered tire compressor, a cup holder combined with a wireless charger, an analog clock, a photo album and a poster. In addition, buyers will receive a Starter Pack voucher to visit the BMW Driving Center in Incheon, South Korea, where a specially trained instructor will give them driving lessons.
It goes without saying that the Galaxy S23 Ultra BMW M Edition will come preloaded with BMW-inspired software, including a custom boot animation and theme.
The pre-booking period ends on February 13th, with a possible extension until the 17th, when fans can still reserve a unit if devices are in stock. Pre-orders should start shipping on the 17th along with regular S23 series models.
