NVIDIA recalled that today manufacturers will begin accepting pre-orders for powerful gaming laptops equipped with GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 discrete graphics accelerators. These video cards and the laptops themselves were announced at CES 2023 in early January.

GeForce RTX 40 Series mobile graphics cards feature the new Ada Lovelace graphics architecture, deliver up to four times the gaming performance of GeForce RTX 30 Series mobile accelerators based on the Ampere architecture, while delivering up to three times the power efficiency.

The flagship mobile GeForce RTX 4090 is the successor to the mobile GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. The new graphics card is based on the AD103 GPU with 9728 CUDA cores operating in the frequency range from 1455 to 2040 MHz. The card received 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with support for a 256-bit memory bus. The novelty will be able to operate in the TDP range from 80 to 150 watts. In terms of GPU and memory configuration, the new product repeats the desktop GeForce RTX 4080.

The mobile GeForce RTX 4080 is based on the AD104 graphics chip with 7424 CUDA cores (slightly less than the desktop RTX 4070 Ti), operating at frequencies from 1350 to 2280 MHz. The card received 12 GB of GDDR6 memory with support for a 192-bit bus, and will operate in the TDP range from 60 to 150 watts.

The GeForce RTX 4090 and GeForce RTX 4080 mobile graphics cards will be offered as part of premium gaming laptops starting at $1,999.

The most expensive laptop model from the assortment presented by the manufacturers is the 17.3-inch MSI Titan GT77HX worth $5,300. It includes a 24-core flagship Core i9-13980HX, a GeForce RTX 4090 with 16 GB of memory, 128 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM, a 4 TB M.2 SSD and a 17.3-inch display with support for a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and 144Hz refresh rate.

Systems with the GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 will allow you to connect up to three external monitors with support for 4K resolution and still be able to provide gaming performance at 60 frames per second.

Laptop models with GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards will be offered by ASUS, Gigabyte, Lenovo, MSI, and Razer. Pre-orders for them will begin to be accepted from February 7, and the actual sales of new products will begin on February 8.

Laptops equipped with GeForce RTX 4070, GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 4050 mobile graphics cards will go on sale on February 22. These laptops will start at $999.
