Back in June 2022, Iron Gate announced that the acclaimed Scandinavian survival adventure Valheim would be coming to Xbox Series X and S in the spring of 2023. Now the developer has announced the exact release date of the game. It will immediately become part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription.

Embracer Group and Iron Gate have announced that Valheim will be coming to Xbox Series X and S on March 14th. At the same time, the developers have released a new survival adventure trailer with a demonstration of the interface for the console. The game is available now on PC via Steam (Early Access) and the Microsoft Store, and is also part of the PC Game Pass library with crossplay support.
Valheim swept across Steam immediately upon release in February 2021. In the first three weeks alone, sales of the game exceeded 4 million copies, and it reached about 7 million copies by July. Iron Gate Studios continues to develop the project: in November, the studio announced work on a new expansion (Ashlands), but it is still at the pre-production stage. As of April 2022, Valheim sold 10 million copies.
