The tournament is organized with blogger MrBeast.
On December 12, Epic Games announced a new massive event, the winner of which will receive $1 million. We figure out how it will take place and what the popular blogger MrBeast has to do with it.
What is the essence of the event?
Large-scale events are regularly held in Fortnite, but this time players are waiting for a big cash prize. The Atlas Creative team has created a map — the island of extreme survival test from MrBeast. The map is already available to Fortnite players, anyone can go to the code 7990-6907-8565 and practice on it before the start of the event.
The event will start on December 17 at 20:00 Moscow time. Players have to collect coins, avoid traps and fight for survival in order to get points. You need to earn as many points as possible before the end of the match. The event itself will last 3 hours, and the number of attempts is not limited.
When the challenge is over, your place will be determined based on the best match (in which you scored the most points). The player with the most points will earn 1 million USD! If you place in the top 100,000 players in terms of points, you will receive a consolation prize in the form of a golden MrBeast umbrella.
Who is MrBeast and how is he related to Fortnite?
MrBeast is a YouTube star, the blogger has 118 million subscribers and 19 billion views. He specializes in challenge tests: he likes to dig himself into the ground, buy the most expensive things and test the strength of other people. His most popular video «Playing Squid in Real Life» has garnered 316 million views!
Epic Games loves collabs with stars, and now it’s MrBeast’s turn. The blogger will serve as an advertisement for the game: from December 15, 2 MrBeast skins and corresponding accessories will appear in Fortnite. He also helped create the missions for the Extreme Survival Challenge. Complete them and you’ll receive the MrBeast Symbol graffiti and the MrBeast Games loading screen. Assignments will be available until January 5, 2023.
Alas, players from Russia and Turkey will not be able to receive a cash prize. Epic Games has written in the rules that everyone can participate, but players from these two countries will not qualify for money. Which is unlikely to stop die-hard Fortnite fans.
