FIFA 23 player complained that he lost 6 million coins due to hackers and received ridiculous compensation from EA – a story with an unexpected denouement

A Reddit user under the pseudonym whitemale128 recently spoke about an unpleasant incident that happened to him in the Ultimate Team mode of the FIFA 23 football simulator, and the reaction to his situation from the publisher of the game Electronic Arts.

Whitemale128 lost player cards worth over 6 million FUT coins due to hacking. Among the lost were Paul Pogba, Dirk Kuyt, Xabi Alonso and Kylian Mbappe.
For help with the restoration of property, whitemale128 contacted Electronic Arts technical support. The player was answered and even issued compensation – however, only 2474 coins. Excluding the cost of non-tradable cards (the most valuable).
In the comments on Reddit under the whitemale128 entry, they supported and at the same time threw a stone (and not one) into the garden of Electronic Arts technical support. FUT Coins have not disappeared from the balance of an unlucky gamer, only the best players.

The story took an unexpected turn. In a statement to Dexerto, an EA Sports spokesperson confirmed that the affected player was caught buying FIFA coins and eventually banned – out-of-game trading is prohibited by EA rules.
“All activity related to FIFA Ultimate Team should not go beyond the scope of the game. If users have a reason to complain, their items (players) will be returned to them.”— assured in EA Sports.
FIFA 23 debuted on September 30, 2022 on PC (Steam, Origin, EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch (Legacy Edition). The game was the last in the partnership between Electronic Arts and FIFA.
