The developers of Portal: Another Slice aim to adapt the beloved game for a new generation of gamers, improving the graphics and textures, as well as expanding the gameplay possibilities.
In particular, they promise to reproduce the visual style of Portal 2, tighten textures, add new puzzles and challenges, introduce gameplay elements and improvements (mostly) also from the sequel.

The core gameplay of Another Slice will remain unchanged. At the same time, there will be some elements that will make the game more difficult and fun, while maintaining the spirit of Portal. A release date for the remake has not been announced.
The original Portal debuted in the fall of 2007 with The Orange Box on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and in late 2022 received a free upgrade to Portal with RTX, the ray-traced version of the game for Steam.
