Publisher Deep Silver and developers from his British Dambuster Studios shared two important news at once regarding the release of their long-suffering zombie thriller Dead Island 2.

Firstly, almost nine years after its announcement, Dead Island 2 went gold, which means that the main part of the development is completed and the master disk with the release version of the game is ready for printing and / or uploading to digital distribution services.
Secondly, most often the “gilding” of the project guarantees the invariance of the announced release date, but in the case of Dead Island 2, the release was decided to be postponed to an earlier date: from April 28 of this year to the 21st.
The announcement was marked with a semi-joking video (attached above). Ahead of the release, Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios plan to release more gameplay videos and trailers for Dead Island 2.
Dead Island 2 is being made for PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. It promises three-player co-op, an advanced dismemberment system, hundreds of zombie options, a new skill system, and fully customizable heroes.
